BE PRESENT AND BLOOM: A March Yoga Practice for Growth

Root Down, Rise Up, and Grow with Intention

As spring approaches, nature reminds us that transformation takes time—and presence. The flowers don’t rush to bloom, and neither should we.

This month, I invite you to pause, breathe, and honor your own rhythm of growth. Through mindful yoga and grounding practices, we reconnect to ourselves and the beauty of blooming right where we are.

Root Yourself in the Present Moment

Just as flowers need strong roots to bloom, we need grounding to thrive. Begin each practice by anchoring into the present moment:

  • Take a few deep breaths.
  • Feel the earth beneath your feet or mat.
  • Notice your breath, your heartbeat, your surroundings.

Affirm to yourself:
“I am here. I am enough.”

This small act of awareness sets the tone for mindful movement and intention.

Yoga Poses to Cultivate Presence and Growth

Add these poses to your March practice to feel grounded, expansive, and connected to your inner strength:

  • Mountain Pose (Tadasana)
Stand tall and rooted. Feel the soles of your feet connect to the ground as your spine reaches upward—like a flower rising to meet the sun.
  • Tree Pose (Vrksasana)
Find balance by focusing your gaze on one steady point. This posture teaches stillness in motion and helps cultivate calm awareness.
  • Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)
Step into your strength. Feel your body alive with energy, yet deeply grounded. Let your breath keep you anchored in the now.

Off the Mat: Bloom in Everyday Moments

Being present isn’t just for the mat—it’s a way of life. Here are a few simple ways to stay mindful as the season unfolds:

  • Morning Check-In
Begin your day with a single deep breath or brief meditation to set your tone and intention.
  • Mindful Movement
Take a quiet walk outdoors. Feel each step. Smell the air. Notice the colors of spring returning.
  • Embrace the Pause
Whether it’s your morning coffee or a quiet wait in line, let go of the need to rush. Pause. Inhale. Be present.

Closing with Gratitude and Trust

As you finish your practice, take a moment to reflect:

  • How have I grown?
  • What am I blooming into?

Remember: growth isn’t always loud or fast. Sometimes it looks like stillness, softness, or just showing up.

You are blooming—gently, beautifully, in your own perfect time.

With love and light,
Lola
